“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.”

Organisation: Some new filmed footage

Today I met up with Stephen at West Heath park along with Lewis and Ben to help film some footage of our characters 'Senara' and 'Isaac'. I'm not completely friendly with these lads so I had to get my 'game head' on for directing mode; teaching them how to use the camera and tripod and trying to do as best I can despite the 'intimate' parts of the storyboard I wanted to act out. But I didn't manage to film all I wanted (I'll probably attempt these scenes again at a later date) but thought I had to crop the image of many of the clips in order to make it central in the frame and get rid of the audio (since I'll be putting music in the background instead), I managed to adjust them all rather well...

'Birds Eye View' shot originally was from this footage:

And I used the 'editing controls' on Premiere to crop down the shot
to make it more central:

The 'Two Shot'/'Wide Shot' was originally from this piece of footage:

And I cropped it down to make it more 'two shot'
and less 'wide shot'

This (rather strange looking) two shot originally looked like this:
(It looks like someone else's arm pushing back my hair it was so funny!)

There was way too much distance between me and Steve so I cut
him out (sorry Stephen)and made it more into a
medium close up of a mysterious hand pushing my hair
behind my ear with a smile :)

One thing I do know now is not only how to crop down the image of the video on premiere, but also got me more used to being on camera. I'm especially happy with the first edited shot of the birds-eye-view angle. Lewis and Ben weren't that experienced so I'll keep that in mind next time but I do appreciate their help since no one else was available at the time.
