“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.”

Research into Similar Products: Sound in the 2 trailers I'll be inspired by

I am highly inspired by the trailers from 'Shame' and 'Her' especially the sound elements involved...

Shame...
I love the subtle ambient music throughout the background of this trailer, along with the dialogue heavy sound and Michael Fassbender's panting (connoting to his lust, as well as the fact he's actually running in the trailer). I'd love to use some of these sound ideas for my trailer too!

Shame Trailer 2...
What I particularly like about this trailer of Shame is the diegetic singing by Carey Mulligan; this could be something which I could do in my trailer - incorporate some singing from the actual 'film' or 'narrative' and have it bridge throughout the whole trailer. This could show greater characterization as well as adding a sense of raw authenticity to the trailer, making the story more bound to 'reality'.

Her:
The music in this trailer too is so 'feel good' and simple and gentle as well as uplifting. It allows room for a more dialogue heavy trailer, which contrasts well with the second 'Her' trailer...
But there is a switch in music near the end where after a caption, the 'Moon Song' is heard; one of the key songs of the film. I love that little incorporation of music too and how it goes from non- diegetic to diegetic when 'Theodore' joins in singing at the end...

Her Trailer 2:
I absolutely ADORE this song by Arcade Fire; Supersymmetry. It's such a fitting, beautiful song, reflecting the utopian world of Her and the pursuit of trying to find yourself and enjoy life amongst the obstacles that come your way. It's such a beautiful blend within the dialogue too!
I'll definitely take inspiration from this.

Arcade Fire - Supersymmetry

For my trailer, I'd like there to be more music I think than dialogue; I know dialogue is essential with revealing parts of the narrative, but there has to be a balance, and alike the second trailer of 'Her' and the 'Shame' trailers, I think there's a fair balance of music to dialogue without overwhelming the audience with information... All I need to do now is pick the music...
