“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end… because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing… this shadow. Even darkness must pass.”

Organisation: Succubus horns

By loosely following a very easy tutorial by Klaire de Lys (I'm sure you've guessed by now) I crafted a pair of horns for the Succubi 'Senara'.

What I used:
An Alice headband
Multiple sheets of paper (about 3-4 sheets for each horn)
Two sheets of tin foil
Pair of sharp scissors
Hot glue gun
Acrylic Paint (black, gold, brown and red)

Step 1:

First, you twist up about 4 sheets of paper over each other into a cone shape, and then twist the tin foil over each cone, twisting it into the desired horn shape. Do the same for the second horn (try and twist it the opposite direction; this part was a pain to be honest to get the shape right)

Step 2:

Once twisted and cut into the right length (I said 'sharp' scissors since they'll have to be to cut through multiple twists and layers of paper and foil) you get your alice band, make on it where you want the horns positioned, and get the hot glue gun out!
BEWARE: IT'S VERY VERY EASY TO BURN YOURSELF! So be careful!
Glue down the horns and drag the glue swirling around each horn too to make it more interesting and stable.

Step 3:

Now, once the glue's dried and cooled, it's just time to paint the horns whatever way you want. Since Senara's a dark succubi, the horns will be black with some gold details and brown dabbed on so it has more earthy tones and some red.

Here's how they turned out!

I'll have to find a better way to use my hair to cover the alice band (perhaps I'll curl my hair and pin some more parts over it), but when the rest of the succubi make-up and 'accessories' are on, it'll really come together! I think for a first time, they look pretty good. I'm sure they're good enough to use for the trailer, and I am pretty proud of them.

Here's the original tutorial from Klaire de Lys:
